What makes Goa so unique are the exotic beaches and the beauty around it. The trip started just like a study thing but ended being the most fabulous and memorable trip I had so far. I got the opportunity to meet another companion Vaishnavi and saw a different side of Ashish, one of my batch mates. For the starters, we went to the Morjim Beach also known as “Little Russia” which is located in the North Goa. The Russian beauty around the beach was remarkable. We spent a little time on the beach after which we had to return back to the hotel. The start of the day was great but it didn’t end so well. While coming back from Morjim Beach we couldn’t find any open transport as they were on some kind of strike. We had to walk around 6-7 km in the harsh sun, sucking on the energy we had, fortunately, after strolling for such a long time we found a cab to drop us back to the hotel. The place where we stayed was near Baga Beach. The hotel had small cabins with traditional pitched roof along with a swimming pool, the hotel was designed in levels giving the ideal perspective of the woodland around it to the watchers.
The next day started by having a delicious traditional prawn dish in a nearby bistro. Then we had to travel 68 km to reach “The Leela Goa” resort near Mobor Beach which was an outstanding piece of architecture. The location was perfect along with the designing of the resort. The huge lobby of the resort was marvelous along with the architecture and the poolside view for the viewers was unforgettable. After the visit, we headed back to the hotel. We all went the Calangute Beach, where we shop for Feni, the local cashew nut drink along with the famous cashew nuts we get in Goa. We had a delicious dinner near the beach. After the dinner the actual party started, we all danced on the beach for an hour, sat with our legs dipped in water and silently enjoyed the music made by the waves. When the waves hit the shore and the sand beneath the foot leaves along with the wave, the feeling one gets cannot be explained through words. The night sky full of stars and the soft music from the cafes mixing along with the ocean waves made the time go by very slowly and calmly and we even made sand angles which were quite cool. After the wonderful night, we headed back after doing a little shopping in the local market.
If one has to explore the city, one should definitely rent a car or a bike or it will cost you a fortune to travel around the city. The price which the cabs will ask will be so hipped that it won’t allow you to explore the city. The best thing in Goa is cheap alcohol. And if you want to try water sports then there is no better place than Calangute Beach. We didn’t get a chance to visit the “Titos”, which is the place when visiting Goa one should definitely go there or the trip seems incomplete. So it will be on my bucket list for the next trip. Titos is a place to have a great experience and to end the trip with a blast.
